Hardware
Viewer software can run on various types of machines. As viewer is evolving and we are adding new features we do however recommend to run on newer hardware.
Laptops
(updated January 2024)
Low range 2 1080p streams:
While it can run on iGPU (Integrated GPU), meaning there is no dedicated Graphics (such as Nvidia), we only recommend it for up to 2 streams at once.
Mid range 4 1080p streams + output:
CPU: 20000+ cpubenchmark
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050
RAM: 16 GB
High Range 6-8 1080p streams + output:
CPU: 30000+ cpubenchmark
GPU: Nvidia RTX A2000 or better
RAM: 16 GB
PCs
PCs are usually much easier to get, but harder to transport around. They also offer higher performance for lower price. Requirements are same as for laptops.

Important notes
We recommend having wired network connection. Wireless can work, but performance can vary.
As with recorder, it is also important for viewer PC or laptop to have sufficient cooling. Especially for laptops, where you usually have heat intake on the bottom, and it can be blocked by fabric on table, simple stand like shown below can make big difference in having smooth playback.
